Where do Zoom local recordings save?

On Mac: ~/Documents/Zoom/. On Windows: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Zoom\. Settings → Recording shows your current path. Each meeting gets its own subfolder with the MP4 inside.

How do I download Zoom cloud recordings?

In your Zoom web portal → Recordings → Cloud Recordings → Download. The MP4 file lands in your Downloads folder. Then upload here.

Is this an alternative to Otter / Fireflies?

For post-meeting one-off transcription, yes. For real-time meeting capture with team workspace and CRM integration, use Otter or Fireflies — they're different categories. See vs Otter.

Will it identify each Zoom participant by name?

No, and it doesn't label them positionally either. We transcribe speech to text without identifying speakers, so the output is one continuous document with H2 sections and timestamps. Live meeting bots like Otter can name participants because they have the attendee list; for attribution after the fact, run a dedicated diarisation tool (WhisperX, pyannote) alongside our Markdown.

Are there file-size limits on the upload?

Episode-length recordings under approximately 1 GB process reliably. Longer or higher-bitrate recordings may need to be split or have audio extracted with ffmpeg first.
