What's the maximum MP4 file size?

Episode-length content under approximately 1 GB processes reliably. Multi-hour high-bitrate recordings may hit limits; for those, extract the audio (ffmpeg) and upload the smaller audio file, or split the video first.

Does video resolution affect transcription?

No — only the audio track is transcribed. A 4K video and a 480p video produce identical transcripts if the audio is the same. Downsample first for faster upload if bandwidth is a constraint.

What audio codecs are supported?

AAC (the MP4 default), MP3, and most other codecs encountered in MP4 containers. The pipeline extracts the audio track automatically.

Can I get just the audio extracted?

The output is the Markdown transcript, not the audio file. To extract audio separately, use ffmpeg locally: ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vn -acodec copy audio.aac.

How does this differ from MOV files?
