The Facebook workflow
Download the Facebook video (right-click → Save Video, or use the dedicated Facebook download in your account settings for your own content). Upload the MP4 to Video to Markdown. Facebook Lives often have variable audio quality — accuracy depends on the recording setup.
Use cases
Facebook Live archives — many businesses and creators do regular Lives that aren't indexable by search. Convert to Markdown and publish on your website for SEO. Group video discussions — capture the substance of community conversations. Shared educational content — preserve content even if the original poster removes it (with permission).
Live vs recorded
Lives recorded after-the-fact transcribe the same as any other video. Real-time live transcription is a different category (we don't do live transcription — see Otter or Tactiq for that).
