The Japanese script challenge

Japanese mixes three scripts: kanji (logographic), hiragana (phonetic native words), and katakana (phonetic foreign words). The pipeline produces a faithful mix of all three, matching standard written Japanese conventions. English loanwords appear in katakana (typically) — e.g., コンピューター for "computer".

Japanese tech podcasts, anime fan content (with copyright considerations for redistribution), university lectures from Tokyo University / Kyoto University, Japanese business content for non-Japanese-speaking analysts. The output Markdown is searchable, editable, and AI-ready.

Particles and grammar

Japanese particles (は, が, を, etc.) appear correctly. Polite forms (です/ます) and plain forms are preserved as spoken. Honorifics around names (-さん, -先生) are preserved. The output reads as natural written Japanese.
